Designing the Creation Story Text Screens
This is another sheet where I combined many pieces of paper to create this collaged sheet. I also brought the paper texture into an initial cap. When I made paper for letterpress editions I sometimes combined a paper initial cap as part of the design for the print and set the type around it.
In choosing a type face, I looked at many fonts until finally deciding on Stone Serif, a very chunky roman face with little difference in the thickness of the stroke.
I believe this was the first title to use so much text as graphics.
