Designing the
Sierra Alive Experience
In this collage I wanted to convey the movement of wind. Besides cutting, folding and tearing paper, I painted on this image as well.
In the interactive project we used sound to help convey the forces of the wind though we could not make or find any thing that replicated what it sounded like. Hearing it move up through the valley before reaching our tent was like the roar of surf coming in - wave after wave thundering and pounding away at our little protected niche.
We deeply regretted not having a dat recorder though nothing can replicate the sound and feel of that wind.
